Gloria Mine – over a month and bodies still remain
The remaining bodies of the cable thieves have now spent their 37th day underground with no sign of when they can be recovered.
Proto teams are battling against torrential circumstances within the shaft, which has brought the recovery to a halt.
The rescue operations have managed to deliver 18 bodies, one of which survived, before their progress was stalled.
It is unclear at this stage, when the proto teams will be able to resume with operations.
