Man collapses on Cowen Ntuli Street

A man collapsed on Cowen Ntuli Street on Saturday at about 15:30.

The intoxicated man told www.mobserver.co.za that his name is Lucas Dlamini from Newtown and that he was hit by a car.

An eyewitness on the scene told www.mobserver.co.za that the man was sitting on the pavement, as he was trying to stand up he then fell on his head.

When Joanita Heymans saw the man lying in the middle of the road, she parked her car and called an ambulance and Midalarms.
She and the Midalarms officer waited on the scene with the man.

A www.mobserver.co.za journalist reported the incident to MpumaCare Medical Support who arrived on the scene shortly.

Mpumacare paramedics transported the man to the Middelburg Provincial Hospital for medical treatment.
