Fatal Columbus crash claims three lives

Tragedy struck on Sunday as three lives were abruptly cut short on the N11 near Columbus Stainless.

The occupants were travelling in a Ford Focus, and the incident occurred at about 03:30.

The driver of the vehicle lost control and collided with palisades, Three people died at the scene, and two others were transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

Two of the deceased worked for Caterpillar, and were identified as Siyabonga Hlophe (27) and Vennu Makola (29).

Their memorial service will be held today, Thursday, at the SAVF Hall.
