Municipality urges residents to conserve water during scheduled maintenance

The municipality has urged residents to use water sparingly due to the scheduled maintenance and cleaning of the storage pumps at the water treatment plant.

From July 14 to 17 there will be water interruptions.

However, the municipality has clarified that its intention is not to completely deprive residents of water for the entire four-day period, but to emphasise the need for everyone to use water sparingly during this time.

In their message to residents, the municipality highlighted the importance of responsible water usage and provided the following tips to help conserve water:

• Do not water gardens

• Do not wash cars

• Do not fill pools

• Take quick and short showers/baths

• Try to hand wash laundry/dishes as far as possible or only small loads.
