Charity Golf Day for Ashley

A charity golf day will be hosted at the Middelburg Country Club for four-month-old Ashley Meerkotter, who urgently needs to undergo a heart operation.

Ashley was born with Ventricular Septal Defect and her parents are desperate to raise a targeted R150 000 for the operation to fix the hole in her heart.
Without the operation, Ashley will likely suffer systematic organ failure and won’t live to see the age of four.

The surgery will be done at the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital but her parents, Adriaan and Elmarie, are both without jobs and need financial assistance to cover their accommodation at the time of Ashley’s operation, as well as the expense of general aftercare.

The operation will have to be done before she reaches six months old.

The charity golf day will be held on July 21 at the Middelburg Country Club.

Registrations will take place from 07:30, and tee-off will be from 10:00.

The game format will be a two-ball better ball scramble drive and will cost R1 400 for a four-ball team.

Hole sponsors are running at R3 000, hole 10 and clubhouse sponsors at R3 500.

A charity show will be held at the club from 18:00 for R30 per person.

Plenty of stalls and a live performance by Hermie Pienaar can be expected.

For stall bookings or sponsorships, please call Adriaan on 072 057 1255 or Elmarie on 082 790 1480.

Financial donations can also be paid into Ashley’s BackABuddy account by visiting the following link: https://www.backabuddy.co.za/ashley-meerkotter-563320421690928861.
