More snow can be expected for Mpumalanga as cold sets in

Snow chasers have reason for excitement as more widespread snowfall can be expected this week.

According to Snow Report SA, light to heavier snow is being forecast for Lesotho and six South African provinces including parts of Mpumalanga.
The snow forecast predicts light snowfall and flurries in Secunda, Ermelo and Dullstroom.

While temperatures are still on the warmer side, cold weather will be setting in from Thursday.

The South African Weather Service’s forecast foresees cloudy weather with possible rainfall for Middelburg.

Temperatures are expected to drop on Thursday with a minimum of 3 °C and a maximum of 12°C and a 30% chance of rainfall.

Friday’s temperatures measure at the lowest with a minimum of 2° and a maximum of 12° with 60% chance of rainfall.

Warmer weather can be expected for Sunday with sunshine and a minimum of 3° and a maximum of 18° predicted.
