Water leak causes large sinkhole in Mineralia

A vehicle is said to have gotten stuck in the flooding sinkhole.

A large sinkhole has formed on the corner of two streets in Mineralia due to an unattended water leak.

According to a resident, the sinkhole is roughly three metres in length and width and has formed on the corner of Kwarts- and Sasol Street.

A vehicle got trapped in the water-logged hole.

The resident complained that the municipality is not attending to the water leak or the damage to the road and that one vehicle got stuck in it earlier this morning.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution.
