Dennesig to count sheep tonight

A cure for insomnia has ambled into Dennesig this evening, with plenty of sheep to count for the night owls.

Baboons, warthogs, Kudus, black mambas and even the odd genet have been seen visiting the streets of Middelburg with the latest being a herd of sheep.

A reader has shared a video and photo of the sheep found grazing on the corner of Verkenner- and Helen Joseph Street.

The sheep were left unattended, with no shepherd in sight, and later crossed the road in pursuit of greener pastures.
