Signal jammers flee with vehicle from shopping centre

A nightmare unfolded for a man whose newly-bought vehicle went missing in a shopping complex parking lot Saturday.

Mr Michael Pelser went to do some shopping at the Spar in the Saveways Crescent Centre in eMalahleni. After completing his shopping and walking back to his car, he realised his Ford Ranger was missing.

Mr Pelser said that he went back to the complex to ask to view CCTV footage, which revealed unknown suspects had signal jammed his vehicle shortly after he locked it. Within a minute, the thieves stole the car and left the parking lot.

He bought the car less than three months ago and was still waiting for the car dealership to provide him with the number plates.

Anyone with information about the Ford Ranger, with number plate EGP 800 MP, is urged to contact Mr Pelser on 076 247 8943.
