MPS Night Race

Middelburg Primary School’s Night Race, presented by Eskom Athletics Club, will be held on August 16 at 1 Olifant Street in Groenkol.

Entries open at 17:00, and the race will start at 18:00.

Entries are R50 for the 4.9km race and R80 for the 10km race (R40 for temporary licence).

ASA rules apply:

• No seconding allowed.
• No earphones or Walkmans allowed.
• No dogs allowed.
• Traffic officials and race marshals must be obeyed.
• Athletes for the 10km race must be 14 years or older on the day of the race.
• Races presented according to the rules of ASA and AMPU house rules.
• Walkers to have a ‘W’ on their vest and are more than welcome to walk at the race.
• Age category ID tags must be worn according to ASA Rule 22.9.1 (back and front). It must be clearly displayed for the duration of the event by athletes competing for a category prize and not be covered with jackets.
• 2023 ASA licence number on the front and back of vest.
• Temporary licence at the front of the vest. Tear-off slip must be completed.
• Race number should not cover the valid ASA licence logo.
• Age category tags must be worn to compete for a category prize.
• Category winners must be present at the prize-giving ceremony.
• Cut-off time is 01:50 hours.
