Road Works: SANRAL to replace rumble strips with speed humps in Kranspoort Pass

Motorists travelling along the N11 between Middelburg and Groblersdal are advised to approach with caution due to road works in Kranspoort Pass.

Mr Johan Hamman, a community member from Kranspoort Vakansie Dorp, informed the Middelburg Observer that SANRAL is currently busy replacing the rumble strips used for traffic calming with ordinary speed humps.

Mr Hamman explained that the speed humps will only be implemented in the descending lanes heading in Groblersdal’s direction.

Delineator barriers have been erected between opposing lanes throughout the pass to prevent vehicles from avoiding the speed humps by swerving into oncoming lanes.

Extreme caution is advised to all motorists and traffic delays might result from the road works underway.
