The heartbreaking incident occurred at the resort on Saturday evening, around 22:00.
The victims were driving a silver Hyundai hatchback with a Gauteng registration.

The women’s vehicle ended up submerged in the dam. The circumstances leading to this tragic event remain unclear.

In a statement given to the Middelburg Observer, Mr Hanno Coetzee, the manager of Forever Resorts Loskopdam, deferred questions regarding the incident to the Middelburg Police.
He further mentioned that the resort will cooperate with the police by providing all necessary information for their ongoing investigation.

As investigations continue, post-mortem examinations are expected to be conducted on the deceased women.
