Life in the fast lane for Royal Eagles

Middelburg’s Royal Eagle Riders Motorcycle Club are set to host a poker run for charity on September 2.

In an effort to raise funds for Riding for a Limb, all motorcycle clubs and residents are welcome to participate and pledge a donation.

Beginning at 08:00 at the Middelburg Rugby Club, the poker run will conclude at Buksies on the Loskop road.

A R100 entry fee is required to enjoy the festivities, which will include food, drinks and music, as well as lucky draws and cash prizes.

Trophies will be handed out to the biggest club, the most spirited club, the first female rider, and the first male rider, and a R2 000 cash prize and a trophy will be given to the person with the best hand, with the runner-up set to bag a R1 000 prize and trophy in consolation.

Hampers of booze will be given to adults, while hampers of sweets will be given to children at the Middelburg Biking Council-approved event.
