WATCH: Dyllan overcomes the darkness

In 2018, Dyllan Grobler’s world darkened when he lost his sense of sight.

While he had every reason to give up, he courageously chose to rise above his circumstances.

Now, five years later, Dyllan has overcome the physical barriers that come with blindness and shares an inspiring and heartwarming story about how his family and colleagues at Socrates, Supa Quick, helped him to learn how to live with blindness.

His story can be read in this week’s issue of the Middelburg Observer.

• Watch a video of how Dyllan carries on with his day-to-day tasks at Socrates and how he has learned to discern the different brands and sizes of tyres and batteries through his sense of touch.
