Reaction officers on lookout for two vehicles after attempted hijacking

Reaction officers from different armed security companies are on the lookout for two vehicles after two attempted hijackings were reported.

A resident of Tandjiesberg Street, Aerorand warned residents to be on the look out for a C-Class Mercedes Benz and a red Mazda 3 after the two vehicles were suspiciously trying to box them in.

According to the resident’s account, the Mercedes was driving very slowly in front of their own vehicle while on their way home, and when they pulled into their own driveway, the Mazda then proceeded to stop behind their vehicle trying to cut off their exit.

The residents did not open their gate, choosing to reverse and drive off in the opposite direction when the Mazda then followed them.

The residents alerted Mid Alarms response teams during which one of the reaction officers confirmed that the same vehicles allegedly attempted to hijack one of their family members.

It is believed that a chase between the suspects and Mid Alarms reaction officers ensued, but that the suspects managed to get away.
