Water restored to Mhluzi

The water crisis in Mhluzi has been resolved.

Residents in Extensions 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 23, Rockville, Chromeville, Mountainview, Mathaileni, Phumula, Thembisa, and Reabota were all impacted by water interruptions on Saturday.
The interruptions were caused by pressure built up from the recent transition of asbestos to PVC pipes in Tswelopele Street.

The municipality completed repairs on the main pipeline and conducted testing on Sunday. The affected areas have now begun to receive water gradually, starting with lower-lying areas.

As of Monday, the majority of affected areas now have running water.
