Cape Sea Rescue still looking for missing Middelburger

The Eastern Cape Sea Rescue Team is continuing its search for the 21-year-old Middelburg man who went missing in the waters off Camps Bay on September 22.

The man is believed to be a Zimbabwean national who was travelling with a church group visiting the beach during a weekend church event in Green Point.

The spokesperson of the National Sea Rescue Institute, Craig Lambinon, said, “A Samaritan attempted to rescue the man, who appeared to be caught in a rip current.”

On Tuesday morning, he told the Middelburg Observer that efforts by sea divers to find the man are still underway.
