Hijacked truck found in Pullenshope

A hijacked truck was found abandoned in the fields of a farm just outside Pullenshope.

According to Pullenshope CPF Sector 1 members, the truck was abandoned in the one of the fields of SAS Boerdery over a week ago, and that the wheels were stolen, making recovery a difficult task. The two trailers were still full of its load of coal.

Members of the CPF initially thought that the side-tippers might belong to the Durban-based transport company who’s driver is still missing after the truck itself was found abandoned in Bethal.

It however, was confirmed to belong to a Swaziland-based transport company, Syzo Transport, and the owner was informed.

The CPF members told the Middelburg Observer that the truck was hijacked before being abandoned on the farm, which is situated on a gravel road between Pullenshope and Komati.
