Get ready for the final Ugly 5 Race

The best time to start exercising is yesterday, the second-best time is right now, there is no better motivation than to train for the final Ugly 5 Night Race.

The Middelburg Marathon Club series is set to conclude with the final race fast approaching, so mark your calendars for November 22, with Hoërskool Kanonkop playing host yet again.

With Wildebeest being the proverbial spirit animal for the final race in the year-long series, there is no better time to unleash your inner beast, and nothing more blood-pumping than waiting for Hoërskool Kanonkop’s Pierre de Lange to ignite the school’s “Kanon” to signify the start of the race.

The feeling of comradery is immense, as running alongside fellow fitness enthusiasts will spur you on to the finish line.

As for pricing, there will be a 4.9km race with a R40 entry fee, and a 10km race, costing R80, and if needed, temporary licences can be bought for R40.

Those who have paid the entry fee for the series will not have to pay an entry fee for the race, and you will even have the opportunity to win your money back with cash prizes of R350 up for grabs for those who finish quickly enough.

This race follows the successful Hyena edition of the series that took place last week Wednesday.
