Dullstroom Village Market this Saturday

Dullstroom Village will be hosting their 24th market this Saturday.

The market will also be their third Birthday market.

According to Munro Deysel, organiser of the market, their plans to host the market on both Saturday and Sunday have been hampered by foul weather forecast for Sunday.

“This was our first attempt at linking a Sunday morning market to our traditional Saturday month-end market, making it our first two-day market not held over a long weekend. We hoped to experiment with this to see whether it helps dissipate the transport costs some of our vendors incur to attend the market in Dullstroom which still is the nearest, cleanest and most hospitable break-away weekend destination for people from the Witwatersrand in the west to the Mbombela area in the east,” Deysel highlighted.

“We will host a number of new vendors and I am looking forward to welcoming them. As usual, we focus on handmade, homemade and SA made products of superior quality and uniqueness.

We have on-going gin tasting and wine tasting stands. The food court is attracting more vendors and the food is made on-site and of excellent quality,” Deysel said

“The new vendors whom we welcome, will help us make a big push for The Epilepsy Centre in Dullstroom which is our beneficiary. We invite the public to come out in full force to support this worthy cause. Visitors to the market are invited to bring any unused household items, used clothing, canned food, toiletries or anything else they want to donate.” Deysel emphasised.

The market is divided into five sections: food court, arts and crafts, flea market, lifestyle and special exhibits. Over the last three years the Dullstroom Village Market has developed a reputation for its unique, high quality and home-made arts, crafts, lifestyle products, goods, and freshly made food.

Location

Dullstroom Village Green, Naledi Street, Dullstroom (in the main road in the centre of town).
