Masemanzi spreads the love

Thursday was a special day for the children at CMR Middelburg Child and Youth Care Centres (CYCC).

Masemanzi Mining Holdings visited the two CYCC homes and donated special treats, as well as a tumble dryer and groceries, and also announced their new partnership. The children were also treated to some Happy Meals from McDonald’s.

Ms Avender Manzini from Masemanzi said her team were looking for children’s organisations to partner with in eMalahleni and Middelburg.

She mentioned that the initiative came after Masemanzi held a legends soccer match at the Puma Stadium, which featured the Kaizer Chiefs and the Orlando Pirates. The proceeds from the game went to the two children’s homes.

The company has also committed to support the CMR for 12 months and will lend a helping hand whenever they can. The CMR has two homes in Middelburg and cares for 37 children from 2 to 18 years old.

With the festive season around the corner, sponsors and individuals who would like to help the CMR are urged to call 013 282 7261 or email them at admin@cmrmid.co.za.
