Man found with suspicious butchered carcass

A man was arrested in Belfast after being found with an alleged stolen butchered cow carcass.

According to Mpumalanga Police spokesperson Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, the incident occurred on Sunday.

Local farmers spotted the suspicious bakkie on the Boschpoort road and quickly alerted the police.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested while the other suspects fled the scene.

Four suspects fled, but the driver, Phumlani Mice Nkosi (23), was apprehended.

Brigadier Mohlala said the cow was stolen from a nearby farm.

Nkosi is expected to appear in the Belfast Magistrate’s Court on December 4.
