Prestige boxing heading to Banquet Hall

Come one, come all, as the Sydney Choma Banquet Hall is set to host an Ilanga Boxing Promotions Tournament on December 15.

Set to feature the likes of Mpumalanga Bantamweight Champion and local Arnel Lubisi and Mpumalanga Junior Welterweight champion Xolani Mgidi, the event is a must-watch for boxing fans.

The event is in support of 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

The weigh-ins are set to take place at 12:00 on December 14 at the Banquet Hall.

The doors will open at 16:00, with the event itself set to begin at 19:00. Tickets are available at Computicket, Shoprite, and Checkers, with general admittance priced at R150 per person and VIP access at R300.

• Mpumalanga Junior Welterweight Title: 10 Rounds – Xolani Mgidi (champion) vs Humbulani Netshamtshedzi (challenger)

• Bantamweight: 10 Rounds – Arnel Lubisi (Mpumalanga) vs Abdul Kesi Ngaona (Tanzania)

• Mini Flyweight: 6 Rounds – Sphelele Myeza (KwaZulu-Natal) vs Andile Cindi (Gauteng)

• Junior Middleweight: 6 Rounds – Tshikungulu Khorommbi (Limpopo) vs Douglas Mbuka (Democratic Republic of Congo)

• Female Junior Flyweight: 6 Rounds – Asanda Simelane (Mpumalanga) vs Herriet Mtende (Malawi)

• Featherweight: 4 Rounds – Zweli Nhlapo (Mpumalanga) vs Adivhaho Nemutazhela (Limpopo)

• Junior Middleweight: 4 Rounds – Pieter de Klerk (Mpumalanga) vs Hendry Moyaya (Malawi)

• Junior Lightweight: 4 Rounds – Shaun Lottering (Mpumalanga) vs Sipho Msiza (Mpumalanga).
