Hail led to flooding and blackouts

Due to heavy rains and hail, residents are urged to be exercise caution while traveling.

Motorists should avoid Cowen Ntuli and Koets Street, low-lying bridges, and flooded areas.

Those traveling on the N4 are urged to be careful due to hail.

The hail has also caused power outages in Vaalbank, Mineralia, Middelburg South, Eastdene, and Aloe Ridge.

The municipality stated that the electrical department is aware of the matter; however, restoration time hasn’t been provided due to a backlog.
