Mayors launch back-to-school campaign

The Mpumalanga government launched its back-to-school campaign on Wednesday.

The Nkangala District Mayor, Thomas Ngwenya, and Steve Tshwete Local Municipality Mayor, Mhlonishwa Masilela, visited Mphanama Secondary School as part of the campaign.

Accompanied by officials from the Department of Education, they welcomed back the learners, offering words of encouragement and support to the academic staff for the upcoming year.

Mayor Ngwenya urged the learners to take control of their education, emphasising the positive contribution they can make to society in the future.

Additionally, a pastor provided special guidance to the learners during the visit.
