Remote jammers on the prowl

Two incidents of remote jamming within the parking lot of local shopping centres have been reported.

Arthur Hill from Middelburg Dagpatrollie issued a warning to residents after witnessing the occupants of a white Toyota Etios using a remote jammer on other vehicles at the Eastdene Shopping Centre.

Mr. Hill told the Middelburg Observer that the incident occurred 11:00 this morning outside the Eastdene Pharmacy.
He and his team pursued the suspect vehicle, which managed to elude them in traffic.

M. Hill added that a car guard confirmed a similar incident, involving a red car in the parking lot at the Middelburg Mall.

He advised motorists to remain vigilant of their surroundings, and to double-check that their car doors are locked.
