Cyclist collides with taxi near N11 weighbridge

A cyclist collided with a taxi this morning shortly after the weighbridge on the N11 (Loskop road).

It is alleged that the cyclist drove into the taxi.

The cyclist was found splayed out on his stomach in the left-hand lane towards Middelburg.

Emergency services were dispatched and the cyclist was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Minimal damages were sustained to the bicycle and the taxi, although the cyclist was treated for injuries to his leg.

The taxi sustained minimal damages.

The left-hand lane, south-bound, was cordoned off to allow paramedics to administer aid to the injured cyclist but the scene had minimal effect on traffic flow.

The man sustained injuries to his leg.
The accident occurred a short distance from the weighbridge in the N11 (Loskop).
