Police recover stolen vehicles

One Mozambican national and two South African nationals are expected to appear in the Middelburg Magistrates’ Court after being found with two stolen motor vehicles.

The Middelburg Police recovered the vehicles on Tuesday morning following information received from a tracking company.

Police officers followed up on the information, leading them to the Stoffberg road, where the vehicles, a Hyundai and an NP200, were found on a gravel road 15km from the main road.
Upon searching the first vehicle, a set of keys was discovered. The keys also successfully unlocked the other vehicle.

When questioned, the driver and occupants claimed they didn’t know anything about the keys.

Both cars, the Hyundai and NP200, were reported stolen.

The NP200 was allegedly stolen in Mhluzi, while the Hyundai was linked to a stolen vehicle case in Sinoville, Pretoria.
