Reuben, a centurion, and then some

Hoërskool Middelburg’s very own Reuben Brandmuller unleashed his inner AB de Villers and scored a mammoth 147 runs to help propel his team to victory against Uplands College.

Reuben put on a thrilling display of batsmanship, scoring 19 boundaries in the process, five of which were sixes.

In 50 overs of play, Hoërskool Middelburg put up 333 runs, with Reuben contributing enormously to their spectacular effort. His 147-run outing came off just 122 balls and was the catalyst in MHS securing victory by 153 runs.

Maybe future stars like Reuben are exactly what the Proteas need to finally get over their longstanding hump and bring a World Cup Trophy home.
