Woman trapped in vehicle after accident on Protea Street
A serious accident involving two vehicles occurred at the intersection of Walter Sisulu and Protea Street at around 14:30.
According to information gathered at the scene, a red bakkie pulling a trailer with a boat, was travelling from Loskop Dam and was turning right into Protea Street towards Mhluzi when another vehicle, coming from Walter Sisulu Street CBD, drove into it.
The vehicle from the CBD direction hit the bakkie while it was turning.
A woman who was in the bakkie is trapped in the vehicle, while the driver didn’t sustain injuries.
Emergency services are currently on the scene trying to extricate the woman from the vehicle.

The road is currently closed.
