Criminals steal copper at mine

Another mine on the Bethal road was targeted by criminals last night (Wednesday).

According to the complainant, who is a security guard at the mine, while patrolling the area at midnight, two men dressed in black approached him and pointed firearms at him. Fearing for his life, he fled the scene.

A short while later, the security guard returned to the mine and found four unknown men at the scene. The men fled as soon as they saw the security guard had returned.

After checking the mine, the security guard noticed copper had been stolen.

The suspects remain at large.
