Two hit-and-run victims still unclaimed

It has been three months since a woman was hit by a vehicle on the N4 near the Hendrina off-ramp.

The unknown woman is believed to be 20–35 years old and was killed on December 23.

Her body remains unclaimed at the Middelburg Forensic Pathology Department.

She was found on the side of the road with serious head injuries.

She was wearing a black short-sleeve vest, black denim jeans, and no shoes.

• More recently, another pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on the N4 towards eMalahleni.

The man was found near the yellow line on the side of the road, indicating that he was hit by a vehicle.

When his body was discovered on February 1, he was only wearing long pants.

The man was bald and suspected to be in his 40s.

Anyone with a missing loved one is urged to visit the Middelburg Forensic Pathology Department.
