Students disrupt traffic flow

Students from the Nkangala TVET College caused a standstill on Brug Street by protesting in the middle of the road at around 14:00.

They were upset that NSFAS plans to pay their accommodation fees directly to landlords instead of their own.

The students briefly picketed outside their campus before proceeding to the skills campus on Meyer Street.

The traffic on Meyer Street also halted due to students singing on the road.

The road has since cleared, and traffic is flowing normally.
