Nkangala TVET students resume protest

The protest over NSFAS payments which flared up yesterday afternoon was resumed again this morning.

Students at the Nkangala TVET College resumed their protest today, marching from the main campus on Brug Street to Meyer Street.
The demonstration disrupted traffic, and protestors threatened to attack a Middelburg Observer journalist recording the demonstration.

The students are protesting against the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).

They want the NSFAS to directly pay accommodation fees to students rather than landlords.
