uMephi Baby House needs your help this Saturday!

The uMephi Baby House will be hosting a baby shower this Saturday to support and celebrate the little ones they look after.

Any support will be much appreciated by the staff of uMephi and especially by the children you will be helping.

The event will take place from 10:00–13:00 at 30 Paardeberg Street, Aerorand. To RSVP, contact Elsie on 066 040 9235.

A number of items are on uMephi’s wishlist:
• Baby bottles
• Dummies
• Top-to-toe baby wash
• Face cloths
• Towels
• Vaseline
• Earbuds
• Gauze
• Glycerine
• Bottle brushes
• Playdough (klei)
• Bibs

Tobie van den Bergh

Tobie started as a journalist in September 1975. He was appointed editor of the Middelburg Observer in 1982 where he worked until he retired in 2024. He received numerous awards, is a founding member of the Forum for Community Newspapers and has published two books about his work. Although retired, Tobie is still very much involved in community journalism.
