Driver shot multiple times before crashing in Dr Beyers Naude

A man was critically wounded after being shot multiple times, crashing his vehicle in Dr Beyers Naude Drive.

According to bystanders, the man was shot approximately three times.

Witnesses explained that his Volkswagen Amarok drove into the pavement near Dolphin Print and crashed into several of the barriers before coming to a standstill at the entrance of the underground parking to the Wonderpark Centre.

Three of the Amarok’s tyres were damaged after the vehicle veered onto the pavement.

The driver had lost consciousness but came to as paramedics loaded him into the ambulance.

The reason for the shooting is unknown.

Emergency services rushed to treat the man for his gunshot wounds.
