Students’ protest enters third day

The protest led by students from the Nkangala TVET College enters its third day.

Students resumed their protest this morning by barricading the entrance of their campus with burning tyres.

Traffic is flowing on Brug Street; however, motorists are urged to be cautious when using the road.

The students started burning tyres again this morning (Wednesday).

Classes at the college have again been suspended due to the protest, which officially started on Monday.

Students are protesting against the NSFAS for its plans to pay their accommodation fees directly to landlords instead of them.
