Ultra City petrol attendant remanded in custody

The petrol attendant was arrested after being found in possession of a skimming device.

Sfiso Masuku (32), appeared in front of the Middelburg District Court today where he was remanded in custody. The case was postponed to 8 March 2024 for confirmation of address.

Masuku who was working as a petrol attendant at the Ultra City Middelburg situated on the N4, was arrested by the Hawks on Monday.

It is alleged that during an internal audit ABSA / FNB bank card investigators had a suspicion of a skimming device amongst the petrol attendants at the garage.

During the search Masuku was allegedly found in possession of the skimming device and subsequently arrested.
