Protesters gathered in Doornkop for planned march
The planned protest in Doornkop is going forward and community members have gathered at one of the entrances.

A message was received from a motorist early this morning, saying that the N11 was blocked off by protesters.
The Middelburg Observer visited the scene at roughly 07:30 where it was found that the N11 is indeed open but that community members where gathered at one of the entrances.
It is unconfirmed whether the march is still to continue.

According to a community member and protest organiser, Nicolas Makubedi, the protesters intend on marching a three to four kilometre stretch of the N11, where after transport will be taken to hand over a memorandum at the Steve Tshwete Local Municipality.
The protest is about service delivery.
The protesters are peaceful but motorists are advised to approach the area with caution.
