No Doornkop protest during Loskop Marathon

A Middelburg Observer journalist is on the scene, and can confirm that there is no active protest taking place.

There have been reports circulating that residents in Doornkop are barricading the N11 while the Loskop Marathon is taking place, stopping runners on their journey to the finish line.

Currently, Doornkop residents can be seen supporting the athletes from both sides of the road.

There have been several incidents of unrest that have plagued the Doornkop community over the past number of weeks, most notably, a man being butchered in a shocking act of mob justice.

For more on that story, purchase a copy of this week’s Middelburg Observer, and for more information on the Loskop Marathon, keep your eyes peeled on our website.
