What a Loskop Marathon!

Here’s your recap of the 2024 Loskop Marathon and the winners of the 21km Wild Challenge.

Here is the Loskop Marathon round-up ahead of the full blowout in this week’s copy of the Middelburg Observer.

The iconic race took place on Saturday to great acclaim and fanfare, with thousands embarking on their pursuit of the finish line.

Middelburg’s own Stimos Ntuli won the 50km Ultra Marathon, with Charné Bosman coming first in the women’s category.

Here are the top three place finishes for the 21km Wild Challenge:

1st — Sbonginkosi Maseko, Bella’s Athletics Club, 1:13:26.
2nd — Mxolisi Madlopha, Nedbank Club KZN, 1:18:27.
3rd — Dumsani Mahlangu, Maxed Elite CG, 1:19:15.

21km Wild Challenge Women
1st — Rosaline Isaiah, Uniwisp Running Club, 1:31:58.
2nd — Roxanne Oosthuizen, Midack Athletics Club, 1:38:14.
3rd — Nadine Britz, Hartbeespoort Marathon Club, 1:44:53.

Tobie van den Bergh
