Deadly accident claims four lives

A devastating accident occurred near Optimum Mine at Pullenshope on the D2274 road on May 26, claiming four lives.

Six people were travelling in a Toyota RunX when the driver lost control of the car, causing the vehicle to roll.

Three people died immediately after being flung from the vehicle, and one person died while waiting for an ambulance.
Two passengers were seriously injured and taken to the hospital.

The deceased were identified as Bright Patson Obisi, Ntsako Ntimane, Themba Masango, and Simangaliso Mathe.

• The Middelburg Observer spoke to Mr Ntimane’s mother, who said her son was laid to rest in Bushbuckridge last Saturday.

She said she and her son lived in an informal settlement near Pullenshope, but they are originally from Bushbuckridge.
Mr Ntimane is survived by his parents, two children, and a sibling.
