Rooies and Middies players help Pumas continue winning run

HTS Middelburg’s Johnny dos Santos and Hoërskool Middelburg’s Wandisa Mthobeni and Matthew Abbey scored against the Griffons on Day 4 of the Craven Week.

Players from both HTS Middelburg and Hoërskool Middelburg were among the Pumas try scorers as they helped their team remain unbeaten in the 2024 Craven Week thus far.

The high-flying Pumas defeated the Griffons by a score of 57–26, extending their winning start to the tournament, having outplayed the Limpopo Blue Bulls in their opening fixture.

Wandisa Mthobeni, Johnny dos Santos and Matthew Abbey were the local players who managed to place the ball across the try line, with Abbey also making six conversions for a total of 17 individual points.

Abbey is among the leading scorers at this year’s Craven Week in Krugersdorp, with the fly-half having amassed a total of 30 points across two games.
