Cash-in-transit getaway vehicle found abandoned

The getaway vehicle used in this afternoon's cash-in-transit heist has been found abandoned.

It has reliably been confirmed that the white Nissan Almera used by the three robbers in the heist at Engen Garage earlier today was found burnt out in Tokologo, Mhluzi.

The CIT heist took place at roughly 13:00 this afternoon at the filling station during a cash collection by an armoured vehicle.

Three suspects were involved and are at large after successfully fleeing the scene.

No injuries were sustained during the robbery.
