The Nashua Care Riders are underway at the Munga Equipe – Make sure to support!

Support! Support! Support! The Nashua Care Riders have begun their efforts with the aim of raising funds for charity.

The Nashua Care Riders have officially embarked on their gruelling journey from Bloemfontein to Wellington, with the hero cyclists participating in this year’s Munga Equipe!

Known as one of the toughest races on Earth, the over 1 000km race takes place in the scorching hot Karoo sun, and can be completed with a team of five determined riders, or if you’re brave or daring enough, it can be done solo!

Having begun on November 27, the race will conclude on December 2, with the majority of the path taking place in what one may call an ‘unwelcoming and slightly inhospitable’ climate.

A member of each team completes one section of the race before they all cross the finish line together on the final day.

Although the mission may seem impossible, the Nashua Care Riders have chosen to accept it, with all funds raised from the race to be invested into the Education of the Middelburg Care Village’s children.

The initiative is not only one of the most amazing acts of charity in Middelburg, but the world, and should be supported in every feasible way, as these riders are putting their minds, bodies and spirits on the line for something they believe in.

Without further adieu, meet the Nashua Care Riders taking part at the 2024 edition of the Munga.
