HTS Middelburg returned from Mbombela with victory in hand, as Rooies captain Johnny dos Santos intercepted the ball in his own half to score a stunning try that secured his team the win.

In a hard-fought battle with Hoërskool Nelspruit, which finished 22–18 in favour of the visitors, the inside centre’s remarkable run was the difference between the two sides.

This was one of the four tries the Rooies managed to put past Nelspruit on Saturday, with Ethan de Kock, Jacques Greyling, and Hanru Terblanche also getting their names on the scoresheet.

This past weekend’s encounter sees HTS Middelburg continue their excellent start to the season, with the Rooies putting out statement win after statement win.
