The ROMA Detachment, under the Steve Tshwete Local Municipality, the UDF, and the Middelburg Youth Congress, hosted an event to celebrate Youth Day.

Celebrations were held at Eric Jiyane Community Hall on June 16.

Testimonies and memories were shared with the attendees about what happened on June 16, 1976.

ROMA and the UDF shared their contributions made during that time, and the youth were reminded that they are future leaders and should act as such.

The entertainment was received with praise and different types of activities were held.
