House break-in at Extension 18

Burglars escape with valuables.

A group of unknown burglars are wanted in connection with a house break-in that took place yesterday (Sunday) between 10:30 and 15:00.A series of housebreakings have been reported in the area in the past few weeks.

According to the complainant‚ Xoli Phihlela‚ no one was home at the time of the invasion.
Upon their arrival from church, they entered the house through the garage‚ and it looked like someone had been in the house, but Xoli thought she had left the house in the state she found it, “When I entered my room, clothes were scattered all over the floor and my children’s rooms were the same. When I searched the rest of the house, we noticed a break-in had taken place.”

The burglars reportedly jumped a fence, cut through a security gate and broke the kitchen door enough to crawl through, which was used to gain entry to the house.

Laptops, tripods, and earpods, as well as jewellery, were stolen.
The police were called to the scene, and a case of burglary was opened.
