Pageant queens spread hope on Youth Day at Bethesda

Mrs Middelburg 2024 celebrates Youth Day with Bethesda House of Hope.

In celebration of Youth Day observed on June 16, Mrs Middelburg 2024 titleholder Veronica Human, paid a visit to Bethesda House of Hope to spend a meaningful morning with the children and the devoted staff who care for them daily.

Joined by Natasha van Niekerk, Mrs Mpumalanga Semi Finalist 2025, and Nicolien Vorster, Mrs Mpumalanga Highveld 2023, a former Mrs Mpumalanga titleholder and Mrs South Africa contestant, the trio spent the day delivering small tokens of joy and national pride to honour the occasion.

“Each child received a handmade South African flag and a goodie bag as a celebration of identity, unity, and youthful potential. The hardworking staff were also recognised with gifts of appreciation, including chocolates, as a gesture of thanks for their continued dedication to these children.

This initiative served not only to commemorate the historical significance of Youth Day but also to inspire and uplift the next generation,” Veronica said.

It was a day filled with warmth, connection, and shared purpose, “We are reminded that while Youth Day marks a powerful part of our country’s history, it is also a call to action – to nurture, guide, and believe in our young people.”

“We extend our sincere thanks to Bethesda House of Hope for opening their doors and their hearts. It was an honour to stand with them on this special day, and we look forward to continuing our support for this remarkable community.”
