Eye on the traffic

Apart from the usual morning rush, patches of fog, and smoke from field fires, no serious problems were reported on the roads in and around Middelburg today.

Motorists travelling along the Vandyksdrif, old Middelburg/Witbank, and Stoffberg roads confirmed that while traffic was heavy, there were no major incidents or accidents. The two potholes on the Stoffberg road just outside Middelburg,  have now been repaired.

Meanwhile, Middelburg residents travelling to Gauteng this morning reported reduced visibility caused by fog patches in the N12 and field fires near Daveyton.

Road users to exercise caution, particularly in areas affected by low visibility, and to report any road-related issues — including on the N4 and N12 — by calling or sending a WhatsApp message to 072 248 3855.
